Why coaching
The gap is almost never the information.
You can read the guide, sit through the training, and understand the thing completely. Then Tuesday arrives and it does not go the way you pictured. The strategy runs nine minutes long. The conversation you rehearsed turns defensive in the first thirty seconds. The plan you built carefully lands in a room that is not ready for it.
Understanding was never the problem. What is missing is someone to look at what actually happened alongside you, so you can see it clearly enough to change one thing next time.
Most people in schools do not have that person, and the reason is different depending on where you sit.
If you teach
You tried it fifth period, it went sideways, and there was nobody to ask why.
If you coach
You sit between the teachers and the administration, and you belong to neither.
If you lead
There is nobody on your campus you can afford to be uncertain in front of.
Nothing here is evaluative.
Your coach does not work at your school, does not report to your district, and nothing you bring to a session goes anywhere else. That is not a small detail. It is most of the reason these conversations work.
Our commitment
No single coach knows every version of this job.
A kindergarten teacher and an AP Government teacher are not solving the same problem. Neither is the coach trying to build a PLC that people actually want to attend, or the principal writing a plan that has to survive a WASC visit.
So we did not build a bench of people who have all had the same career. We built one with real range in it.

Erica Levich
Founder, Your Classroom Academy
Erica spent seven years in her own classroom and seven more at AVID Center as a Program Manager, coaching more than 85 schools across 25 districts and walking classrooms alongside site leaders to align instruction across a campus.
That work is where Roster started. Doing walkthroughs after the pandemic, she kept noticing the same thing room after room. The lessons were well planned, and the thinking all belonged to the adult. She founded Your Classroom Academy to close that gap and built The ARC Model, the schoolwide PD system now running in partner schools. Her working belief is that whoever is doing the most work is doing the most learning.

Educational Leadership Coach
Angela spent 15 years in California schools, including seven as the sole administrator of a small high school. She knows firsthand what it means to carry the full weight of school leadership: making the hard decisions, navigating complex relationships, planning professional learning, and showing up for teachers, students, and families every single day.
Her coaching is rooted in the full spectrum of that work, from accreditation and instructional planning to school culture and family engagement. She does not offer theory. She offers the practical, relationship-centered guidance that comes from having lived it, grounded in a simple belief: great leadership is built on relationships first, and results follow.

Tamara Gresham
Learning Specialist
Tamara spent seven years as a Learning Specialist at a K-8 school in Lakewood, Colorado, working across every grade level and finding her niche with middle schoolers. She holds a double degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, plus a Master's in Reading Education that she went back for after deciding she wanted to be better at teaching her students to read.
She has led a special education team, co-taught in math and English classrooms, run executive functioning and study skills groups, and trained tutors delivering intensive reading intervention. She is especially passionate about making sure every student is in their least restrictive environment.

Lindsay Deacon
Instructional Coach and Author
Lindsay has spent two decades in classrooms and coaching hallways. She trained in Jim Knight's Instructional Coaching framework and served on John Hattie's Visible Learning team at Corwin Press, so her approach is grounded in solid research, though she promises never to talk to you like a textbook.
She is the co-author of The EduCoach Survival Guide and The Presenter Survival Guide, both of which grew out of real coaching relationships. Her view is that effective coaching depends less on having every answer than on asking the right question at the right time, and actually listening to what a teacher needs rather than what a framework says they should need.

What to expect
What a session actually looks like.
No intake process, no discovery call, no package you have to commit to. You pick a coach, pick a time, and show up with something you are working on.
Before
Pick your coach and your length, choose a time that works, and pay at booking. You will be asked what you want to work on. Answer that part honestly. A specific starting point is the difference between a useful session and a pleasant conversation.
During
One to one on Google Meet. Your coach listens first and asks before advising, because the problem you booked with is often not the problem you actually have. Expect questions. Bring your lesson, your notes, your data, or your dread.
After
You leave with a next move. Something small enough to try this week, not a plan for the semester. Book again when you want to, with the same coach or a different one. Nothing renews and nothing is on a schedule.

Bring something real.
The best sessions start with an artifact. A lesson you are planning, a seating chart that is not working, notes from a walkthrough, an agenda you are dreading, a rubric you cannot get right. You do not need to prepare anything. You just need to bring the actual thing.

One session at a time.
Every coach charges the same rate. You pay for the session you book and nothing else. There is no package, no retainer, and nothing that renews on you.

One problem of practice, with any coach on the bench.
60 minutes

Roster members pay $65
Planning, unpacking an observation, or building something together.
$35 and $65 for Roster members.
Members book through their own links inside Roster and save $10 on every session, alongside twenty strategies, live sessions, and the community that comes with them. Six sessions a year covers the membership on its own.

Payment
Sessions are paid by card at the time you book. Nothing is stored and nothing recurs.
What you tell us first
You will be asked what you want to work on when you book. Your coach reads it before you meet.
Rescheduling
Reschedule any time up to 24 hours before your session, using the link in your confirmation email.
Cancellations
Cancel more than 24 hours ahead for a full refund. Within 24 hours, sessions are not refunded.
Time zones
Booking pages show times in your own time zone automatically, so there is nothing to convert.
Purchase orders and invoices
If your school cannot pay by card, get in touch and we will arrange an invoice.
Confidentiality
What you bring to a session stays between you and your coach. Nothing goes to your school or district.

Your booking and payment details are visible to Your Classroom Academy for scheduling and billing only.
