FAQ
Everything you need to know about The ARC Model.

Why do schools partner with Your Classroom Academy?
Most professional development doesn't stick because it lacks alignment, follow-through, and leadership integration. Your Classroom Academy offers a structured, school-year system that connects what teachers are learning to what administrators are observing — creating coherence across every classroom instead of isolated pockets of growth.
How is The ARC Model different from other PD?
The ARC Model is not a workshop, a one-day training, or a collection of disconnected strategies. It is a multi-phased system built around weekly implementation, structured reflection, and leadership alignment — designed to shift cognitive load to students and build internal capacity that lasts beyond the partnership.
What does the time commitment look like for teachers and administrators?
Teachers engage with one new strategy per week, complete a short weekly reflection, and participate in monthly live strategy sessions. Administrators receive weekly leadership emails with walkthrough look-fors aligned to that week's strategy, and have access to a real-time data dashboard to monitor implementation and growth at any time.
How will we know if teachers are actually using the strategies?
Teachers complete weekly reflections that generate real-time data visible in your administrator dashboard. You'll also receive weekly emails with specific look-fors so your walkthroughs are always aligned to what teachers are implementing that week — making every classroom visit purposeful and data-informed.
Are strategies differentiated by grade level and content area?
Yes. Every strategy includes sample slide decks for ELA, math, science, and social studies, along with sentence stems to support language development across content areas. Many strategies are also differentiated by grade band — so elementary and secondary teachers receive resources designed specifically for their students' skill level and developmental needs.
Can teachers earn continuing education units?
Yes. Teachers can earn continuing education units through the University of San Diego by completing at least 80% of their weekly reflections. The number of units available may vary by district — we're happy to discuss what this looks like for your specific context during our partnership conversation.
What does the data and reporting look like?
Administrators have access to a real-time data dashboard that tracks strategy implementation and teacher reflection across the school. Weekly leadership emails include aligned walkthrough tools and look-fors specific to that week's strategy — so you always know what to look for and how to support your teachers.
How does coaching fit in?
Coaching is available as an add-on to The ARC Model for schools that want to deepen implementation and accelerate growth. Options include individual teacher coaching, group coaching by content area or grade level, admin team coaching, and instructional coach coaching. All coaching is designed to layer onto the ARC Model — not replace it.
What happens after Phase 3?
By the end of Phase 3, schools have the internal systems, shared instructional language, and teacher leaders to sustain growth independently. Teachers earn badges as they progress through each phase, and administrators work toward ARC Certification — recognizing the school's commitment to sustained instructional growth. Schools also have the option to continue with coaching support or transition fully to self-sustaining practice.
